I started here in August of 23’ coming back to work after an extended maternity/covid leave. I chose The State Bank for a few reasons. It’s a local bank that has a great reputation and during the interview everyone was cool and dressed down and relaxed. Once I accepted the position and became part of the family it’s been great ever since. Each employee is appreciated as individuals and there is no pushy selling. This place not only takes care of its patrons but also, it’s employees like they are real family.

I started working for The State Bank in August of 2023. I started out as a part time Customer Service Representative Float and am currently working as a full time Financial Service Representative. Although my career in banking is still very young, I believe I have learned a lot and made great strides. A big part in that is the great staff around me who helps mold me into the banker I am today. I am blessed to be surrounded by great co-workers in my branch as well as other branches. I am looking forward to see what my future holds at The State Bank and the great memories that will be created with both my co-workers as well as with our great customers!

The main reason that I love working at the bank is the other employees. The teamwork and camaraderie are fantastic. I love the way that we all work as a team for the goal of providing excellent customer service for our customers. Everyone is always willing to step up when needed and help find solutions to any challenges. It is terrific working for a company that embodies their own core values, and truly welcomes diversity, inclusion, and equity.

I have been with The State Bank for over 10 years and during that time I have had the opportunity to hold many titles at this institution. I started out my career as a Customer Service Representative. I then took on the role of a Financial Service Representative allowing me to expand my banking knowledge and my ability to grow customer relationships. I continued my career as a Community Office Supervisor and from this position I went on to become a Branch Manager. I have always felt supported in my desire to advance and grow as an employee, and I have been offered training and coaching along the way. I love working for a company that cares about its employees, the community and its customers!

I love the commitment shown to the communities the bank serves. Whether it is participating in a hometown parade, cleaning up a highway, donating time or money to the local schools or contributing to the local community for a park, nature trail, canoe launch or similar projects, I can really feel the camaraderie that bank brings to the people and communities that we serve. It gives me a pride to know that the organization I work for cares about the bigger picture of helping people with things beyond just their financial needs.

I have enjoyed every minute of my seven years of employment at The State Bank! Having always worked in Banking, I came from a much larger bank where I felt like just a number and joining The State Bank was exactly what I was looking for. A local company who stands firm on their roots and co-workers who have become as close as friends and family. I have always received the support I have needed throughout my journey here and I have recruited many people to work here as well. One of my favorite parts of working here is the support of the locals- whether it be volunteering in the community or donating to local schools and events, I am proud to be apart of an organization that is always willing to help out those whom they serve!

I have worked for The State Bank for 28 years. Starting as a part-time teller and moving my way up the ladder to where I am today is a result of being supported and encouraged by the Bank and every manager that I have had throughout my career. The State Bank supports each and every employee like family, this is evident in all the events created to acknowledge and recognize employees for their achievements, attained goals and just to say thank you for being part of the family. I couldn’t think of working anywhere else.

I started working for The State Bank in 1996 as a part-time drive through teller. I was looking for an organization that was going to give me an opportunity to use my skills and hopefully develop a career in the financial industry. The State Bank rewarded me, and I was able to advance from that part-time position to a full-time personal banking position. As the bank continued to grow, so did my opportunities. My career has progressed through several positions including a customer service representative, assistant branch manager, trust and investment analyst, and financial advisor. My reality these 28+ years later is that I have a career in the financial services industry. The most rewarding part of my career is the fact that my clients have now become my friends and that my co-workers are now my family.

I have been with The State Bank for 38 years, starting as a co-op student in high school. I first worked in Retail, learning many things and wearing different hats. I transferred to Commercial Lending since 1995, it’s exciting to see how things have evolved over the years. Multiple family members have also worked at the bank, some still do. We are encouraged to learn, grow and succeed, both professionally and personally and are respected by Senior Management. I am proud to be part of a company that is well respected by our peers and the communities we serve.

I love working for The State Bank. I originally took a job here intending it to be temporary while I looked for something else, but it didn’t take long for it to feel like home. The people, the culture, the benefits, the flexibility, the leadership, the community, and the opportunity to grow – these are all the things have kept me here for 10+ years. We are as competitive as the big banks, but we operate like the small community bank that we were born from. This allows us to stay in touch with our community, have flexibility in the decisions we make and take better care of our clients. I’m proud to work here and would recommend it to anyone I know.
